The blog begins... christmas is a coming & the crayfish is getting fat

Thought it was about time we got right up-to-date with this tinternet lark & started sharing some of our photo's & exploits with you all, instead of just filling up the hard drive with stacks of pictures that no-one ever sees. So as many of you are wondering "does it feel like xmas there at the mo?" - in one word "no" - I am trying to bring out the festive spirit & have put up the tree, but it does look rather silly set againgst the sunny window, I took this pic at night to make it feel more real, however it was one of the items we never got around to replacing the plug on so I have let the fairy lights cable just dangle until I get around to going to Bunnings for some more plugs. Apart from the imminent arrival of my cousin Liz for xmas we have made no plans for the day, but I do fancy getting a large crayfish instead of the traditional turkey as I havent quite figured how to barbeque a whole turkey(?). After boxing day (which will of course be spent at the G (MCG, Melbourne Cricket Ground to the non-cricketers amonst you)) we are going to do a road trip, across country via Canberra to Sydney, dropping off Liz & her friend there, then heading up the Gold Coast to Brisbane, popping into see the Brewster & Wendy for new years, have a BBQ for my birthday, then drive back, taking the coastal route all the way (photo's will follow).
